THE MAAS
The Open Astronomy Museum, known as MAAS, features 13 activities that convey various aspects of Classical and Modern Astronomy, with some specifically designed for schools. CULTURAL EXHIBITION "RELICS OF THE WORLD"
The exhibition “Relics of the World” provides access to history, science, technology, interactivity, and other themes such as music, politics, sports, astronautics, astronomy, cinema, NASA, World War II, among others.
As we are aligned with the BNCC, the school will have a vast and diverse content that will contemplate its pedagogical project and the periods that best suit its students. All activities are conducted by curators residing in the Pico das Cabras park in Campinas, applying distinct languages and didactics for each age group of the visitors.
There are more than 200 historical, original, and documented pieces: Captain America's Shield / Helmet, Cape, and Lightsaber from the private collection of “David Prowse / Darth Vader" / Pieces from the filming set of “Back to the Future”/ Guitar from the Beatles, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Amy Winehouse / Pieces that were in “Thomas Edison’s” house / Meteorites / Piece of the NASA Space Shuttle / Piece of the Nazi V2 rocket that fell in London in 1944 during World War II / Piece of the Berlin Wall / NBA basketballs used by “Magic Johnson” and “Kareem Abdul Jabbar" / Jersey 10 of PELÉ and Maradona / Bottle from the filming of “Jeannie is a Genius" / Original clothing of “Elvis Presley" and Muhammad Ali / Science experiments / Equipment from “Ghostbusters”.
